    Summary: Assures smooth and efficient operation of the school and enhances the productivity and efficiency of the administration by performing the following duties.

     

    Essential Functions

    • Compiles student records (e.g., birth certificates, transfers, immunization, etc.) for the purpose of meeting enrollment requirements (state, federal, and/or district requirements).
    • Maintains student records and files for the purpose of documenting and/or providing reliable information. Performs enrollment activities (e.g., inputting student data, updating automated student information system, etc.).
    • Keeps attendance records � enters late arrivals and early departures.
    • Processes a variety of documents and materials (e.g., new registrations, transcript requests, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
    • Assists other personnel as may be required (e.g., school secretary, counselor, etc.) for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
    • Assists the guidance counselor in evaluating incoming student transcripts for the purpose of ensuring their conformance with district grading, curriculum, and course credit systems.

    Limited travel to and from meetings may be required.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees, and others.
    • Organizational and time management skills.
    • Knowledge of office management procedures.

    Working Environment: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands; the employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    Work in standard office and school building environments.

    Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

    • Graduation from high school.
    • One to three years school registrar experience preferred. 

    Terms of Employment:

    • Salary based on column D of the approved Classified Salary schedule as established by the Governing Board.
    • Days per year as determined by specific assignment, 8 hours per day.
    • Full Benefits as assigned for the position.

     

    Clearances:

    • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • Measles/Mumps/Rubella Immunity/Vaccination
    • Valid I-9 form

     

    Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Site Principal, in accordance with Governing Board Policy.
