DESCRIPTION

As a Principal Product Manager for Payments and Billing, you will play a critical role in Sinch’s transformation toward a unified, API-first, developer-first platform. This is a highly strategic and execution-focused role where you will shape the evolution of our global billing and payments capabilities that underpin our entire commercial ecosystem.

You will operate as a senior individual contributor, partnering closely with platform product teams, engineering leaders, global product lines, and key stakeholders across finance, legal, and operations. Your work will directly impact how Sinch monetizes its products and delivers a seamless, unified customer experience.

This role is essential in driving the consolidation of disparate systems into a cohesive billing architecture, enabling scalability, innovation, and long-term growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the evolution of unified billing and payments services across multiple product lines

  • Define and drive the roadmap for a global billing ecosystem, combining in-house and third-party solutions to support diverse business models (usage-based and subscription)

  • Act as the hands-on product lead for engineering teams building foundational billing services

  • Design and implement a scalable commercial architecture supporting Sinch’s go-to-market strategy, from self-service SaaS to enterprise agreements

  • Drive the consolidation of legacy systems into a unified commercial backend to enable a seamless “one-Sinch” customer experience

  • Establish standards for financial data integrity, governance, and compliance in partnership with finance, legal, and security stakeholders

  • Align senior stakeholders across product domains, balancing autonomy and standardization to drive adoption of shared capabilities

Why this role matters:
This is a high-impact, highly visible position that sits at the core of Sinch’s platform transformation. You will influence how the company monetizes at scale and help build the financial backbone of a global communications platform.

REQUIREMENTS

In order to succeed in this role, we believe you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management within complex enterprise or platform environments, with strong expertise in billing and payments

  • Experience working with third-party payment platforms (e.g., Stripe, Adyen) and billing systems (e.g., Zuora, Aria) at global scale

  • Proven ability to drive execution across complex, multi-product environments with legacy architecture

  • Strong systems thinking and experience designing scalable, service-oriented architectures

  • Ability to operate in ambiguity, make trade-offs, and drive decisions in complex environments

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing senior leaders across functions

  • Strong technical fluency and credibility to partner effectively with engineering teams
