Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is looking for a talented and driven Civil/Structural Engineer with 15+ years of experience in the Wireless/Telecommunications Industry to grow a dynamic wireless team in our Raleigh, North Carolina office.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the infrastructure of tomorrow, with exciting projects that range from cutting-edge wireless facilities to bridges, retaining walls, and other unique structural designs, depending on every-changing client needs and fluctuations in the industries in which we work. No two days are the same in our diverse environment, and your engineering creativity will always be put to good use.
What You’ll Do:
- We are seeking a proven business development leader (“rainmaker”) with an entrepreneurial mindset to start and drive growth of our civil and structural engineering practice. This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities by leveraging established industry relationships and a deep understanding of the civil/structural engineering market.
- The ideal candidate brings a strong personal network across owners, developers, architects, contractors, municipalities, utilities, and/or infrastructure agencies and has a demonstrated ability to translate relationships into repeat, profitable work. Success in this role depends less on cold pursuit and more on trusted credibility, reputation, and influence within the industry.
- Lead and design civil and structural solutions for a diverse portfolio of wireless projects, including telecom facilities, rooftops, towers (monopoles, guyed and self-supporting), building mounts, water tanks, and custom structures. In addition, lead and design non-wireless projects, depending on the need from other offices requiring structural support.
- Manage projects from start to finish—from proposals and team coordination before, during, and after the design phase, including working with contractors during construction.
- Work with younger civil engineers in the Raleigh office and other MRA offices as needed to support specific civil engineering tasks.
- Participate in occasional site visits, inspections/mappings, and client meetings that keep you connected to your projects from design to construction.
- Take ownership of project quality and efficiency, ensuring that deliverables are accurate, timely, and exceed expectations.
