Job Description

Type of position: Regular

 You’ll have the opportunity to work on a dynamic, multidisciplinary

activities with clients and technical staff.

  • Enter exploration data into a database for monitoring and modelling
  • Interpret geological and structural information from mining projects using 3D software
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in mineral resource estimation methods and reporting regulations
  • Help draft technical reports and studies (NI 43-101, preliminary, pre-feasibility and feasibility)
  • Support clients with resource modelling and updates at exploration or mining operating sites, and provide solutions to potential problems
  • Conduct quality audits on advanced exploration or development projects for all aspects of geology (drilling, sampling, analyzing, quality assurance and control (QA/QC) and estimating mineral resources) and ensure important recommendations are implemented

Summary of certifications and job
requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering
  • Member of a professional order of geologists or engineers or ability to obtain membership
  • From two (2) to six (6) years of relevant experience
  • Excellent ability for learning new software
  • Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
  • Asset: advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
  • Asset: advanced level of Spanish to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Central and South America
  • Asset: experience in managing databases, QA/QC protocols, geostatistical analyses and 2D/3D modelling
  • Asset: proficient in using specialized geological and mining modelling software applications (Leapfrog, Datamine, etc.)
