Job Summary:
OWT Global seeks a self-driven Tactical Advanced Sensor (TAS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Level II to support United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (SOF AT&L), Program Executive Office for Tactical Information Systems (PEO TIS), and the TAS program portfolio.
This role supports the acquisition, test, validation, integration, training, and fielding of advanced sensor capabilities for Special Operations Forces (SOF), including systems associated with unmanned and remote platforms. The TAS SME will translate operational needs into test, evaluation, and acquisition requirements that support rapid, effective fielding to the SOF enterprise.
Primary work supports USSOCOM Headquarters and/or OWT Global Headquarters in Tampa, Florida, with remote support as required. Travel may average up to 25%.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define acquisition, development, test, training, sustainment, and fielding needs using technical practices and operational experience.
- Serve as a TAS SME for emerging sensor systems by reviewing documentation, coordinating with vendors, testing functionality, documenting issues, and producing test reports and After Action Reports (AARs).
- Represent the customer as a technical SME to higher headquarters and external agencies, as required.
- Translate user needs and Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) into test, evaluation, and acquisition requirements for rapid system and subsystem development.
- Develop and deliver advanced equipment training materials for new capabilities and fielding requirements.
- Plan and support developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) and operational test and evaluation (OT&E) events to validate and field advanced sensor systems.
- Track commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and emerging technologies relevant to the TAS mission area.
- Support planning, forecasting, configuration management, logistics, training, testing, and fielding; travel within the continental United States (CONUS) or outside the continental United States (OCONUS) may average up to 25%.

Basic Qualifications:
- Five or more years of combined Special Operations and Technical Surveillance Operations/Element/Detachment (TSO/TSE/TSD) experience employing TAS sensors.
- Five or more years of Special Operations, Intelligence Community (IC), or similar experience integrating and employing advanced sensor systems, including systems coupled with unmanned capabilities in multi-domain environments.
- Ability to translate CONOPs and user needs into acquisition program requirements.
- Experience with complex TAS sensor systems, including operational employment, integration, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, unmanned sensor payloads, and TTL systems.
- Ability to work independently in remote and office environments, and outdoors in varied climate conditions as required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Valued Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge of unmanned systems and sensor payloads supporting the TAS program.
- Relevant technical education or training, including military electronics training.
- Proven technical proficiency gained through operational employment and mission success.
