POSITION OVERVIEW

This position, reporting to the Director, Technology Operations, USA, is a part-time project-based position focused on deploying PMY technologies for a wide variety of events and clients. This position will deploy endpoints and layer 1 cabling for switches, cameras, IPTV, sensors and other devices as needed per the scope of the event/project. This position will require a willingness to travel and work weekends and potentially holidays. The ability to work in outdoor conditions for 10+ hours per day is also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•        Run, terminate, label and test cabling in the field.

•        Deploy a wide variety of endpoints in the field including elevated cameras.

•        Ensure that deployments are organized and logical, maintaining a neat and tidy installation.

•        Manage and update inventory and other documentation as necessary.

•        Troubleshoot connectivity of endpoints and resolve issues in a timely manner.

•        Promptly escalate any potential issues to the appropriate management chain for resolution.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

•        Ability to terminate RJ45 connectors with various types of category cabling.

•        Ability to troubleshoot endpoint connectivity from end-to-end (switchport, cabling, termination, device NIC, etc.)

•        Capable of attending sites as required and representing PMY professionally to customers.

•        Understanding of customer install requests and ability to escalate issues to project and remote management.

•        Demonstrates a high level of deployment quality and ensures installed services operate as per design.

•        Ability to work effectively at heights such as catwalks/ladders/lifts to install cameras and cabling.

•        Ability to lift over 40 lbs.

SPECIFIC POSITION TERMS

Flexible Schedule: Candidates must be willing to travel and accommodate early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend work as needed.
