----- NVH CAE Engineer (Contract Position) - Auburn Hills, MI.----

This position requires strong technical ownership in structural NVH simulation across the full vehicle development lifecycle, with the ability to influence design decisions using CAE-driven insights.
 

Requirements

Responsibilities:
· Lead structural NVH development using CAE, balancing durability, NVH, safety, weight, and cost targets.
· Develop, validate, and maintain high-fidelity full-vehicle and subsystem CAE models.
· Perform modal, frequency response, and vibration analyses at full-vehicle, trim body, and subsystem levels.
· Define and optimize structural load paths to achieve global modes, stiffness, and noise performance targets.
· Drive weight and cost reduction initiatives through optimization and lightweight material strategies.
· Correlate CAE results with physical test data and continuously improve model fidelity.
· Clearly communicate findings, risks, and recommended design actions to cross-functional teams.
· Collaborate with global engineering teams across design, testing, and program management.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
· 8+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle structural NVH CAE.
· Strong understanding of structural dynamics, modal analysis, and first-principles mechanics.
· Proven experience meeting global NVH performance targets.
· Proficiency in scripting (Python, TCL, or equivalent) for automation and post-processing.
· Experience with OptiStruct, Nastran, HyperWorks suite, ANSA, and MetaPost.
· Experience with AI/ML-assisted CAE workflows.
· Experience across multiple vehicle architectures, including EVs and hybrid platforms.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to influence design decisions.
