Job Description:
This position is accountable for developing, coordinating, and directing all activities involved with shelf space management in the retail trade. It is responsible for the development of shelf space business plans, objectives, and tracking systems including the use of new brand/product information.
Job Duties:
Check in with supervisor to get daily objective and information on new re-sets
Fill in daily task workbook from prior day / week ending
Perform and assist re-set if scheduled. Put up tags, pricing and clean area
Design cooler sets to increase sustainable package distribution
Communicate with salesman about the resets (ie: most urgent)
Learn new software. Update current software
Print out schematics sent by competitors or chains
Obtain sets by meeting with the store owners. Propose objective for set change
Update end of month binder which includes compiling the sets for end of year reviews by MC
Keep up with lifting of priority, pending and potential re-sets. If we are the captains (by obtaining set) print out two copies and reversals. Go back to retailer to post and follow up
Keep inventory and stocks of pricing supplies (quick chips, shelf hangers, etc)
Document plans to insure completion of monthly goals and incentives
Stay current on all product promotions, supplier policies and sales techniques, etc. by attendance at meetings, training seminars, training films, in-house training, and other activities dictated by management to expand product knowledge and to improve performance
Update cooler sets in independent C-stores and chain
Design organized cooler sets that maximize sales
Save all schematics and backup on the shared drive
Analyze sales data to determine sales trends
Work with retailers on ways to increase sales. Meet with store owner/manager/director on each visit. Demonstrate a sincere interest in the business success of each of your accounts
Have a positive attitude about all of your fellow employees when in discussions with retailers
Remains informed of company/supplier activities and updates by attending and actively participating in weekly sales meetings
Be able and willing to complete assigned work schedule on a daily basis even if extra hours are required
Have all mandatory brands / packages available in each account
Follows company policies & procedures
Attends company meetings as requested
Maintain open and clear communications with the managers and other employees of the company
Maintain forward thinking and bring positive feedback and ideas to the General Manager
Have a positive attitude about the company and all of your fellow employees when in discussions with retailers and suppliers

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
An understanding of alcoholic beverage industry
Ability to work with computer programs associated with the performance of the position.
Must be a result oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills; uses diplomacy and discretion
Ability to work well with all levels of the organization, to organize, prioritize, negotiate, manage, motive others and solve problems
Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
Highly professional, with ability to interface well with internal and external contacts
Have strong customer service and interpersonal expertise
Decision making, thoroughness and time management a must
Knowledge of geographic areas; familiarity with assigned territory
Possess a valid Texas drivers license and have an acceptable MVR
Carry automobile insurance per company policy
Valid TABC License
Pass background and drug screens
Prior beer industry experience preferred.
