Description:  50% Special Education Social Emotional Counselor at Kingswood Regional High School 

Job Summary: Kingswood Regional High School is seeking a dynamic school counselor to work with students identified as having emotional disabilities.  This counselor works closely with the special education teacher for the program serving students with emotional disabilities.  The counselor and special education teacher collaborate on appropriate and effective programming for students. Candidates should be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.  Responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling and consultation to general education teachers, the special education teacher, and administration.  In addition,  the counselor participates in IEP Team meetings and contributes to the development of the IEP and collects data for progress monitoring on behavioral or social-emotional goals.  Candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to problem solve solutions, work with parents, and be able to de-escalate situations in a calm manner.  NH Teaching Certification is required.
