Lease Operator I – Job Description


Duties & Responsibilities


- Monitor and manage production in assigned area to maximize production and control lease operating expenses

- Apply basic knowledge of Production Operations and all associated equipment

- Maintain all company provided tools and equipment (cell phone, vehicle, computer, etc.)

- Perform routine maintenance of production equipment, including separation and measurement equipment

- Submit work requests as per the workflow process 

- Perform tasks that may be assigned which will contribute to the achievement of Scout's strategic objectives

- Understand alarm management to minimize DT; maintain awareness of DT effects on volumes; identify DT issues such as RPs, TLs, PCs, etc., and report promptly -- targeting <24-hour notification 

- Monitor lease costs in daily activities to achieve 0% tool and equipment loss

- Perform lease maintenance as needed to eliminate contract labor

- Utilize "buddy system" as needed to reduce OT effect

- Perform other various tasks as assigned by the Foreman 


Skills & Specifications


- Ability to work with a diverse team to achieve production and cost targets

- Solid written and oral communication skills

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced high-pressure production environment

- Strong communication & people skills

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, SCADA, eVIN, etc.), or the ability to learn

- Maintain good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility

- Has integrity, good communication skills, and a positive attitude

- Ability to work safely and adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures

- Capable and willing to work overtime as required and participate in an on-call rotation

- Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities

 

Education & Qualifications


- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state-certified program

- Must possess a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus (and may be required in some locations)

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

- Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred

- Able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check

- Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs

- Capable of rigorous outdoor activities with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and other light industrial equipment
