Job Description

JOB TITLE: Facilities Services Project Team Summer 2026 

PAY RATE: $16.50 per Hour

Location: St. Paul and Minneapolis Campuses

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Housed within the Facilities Management, the Facilities Services Project Team assists with campus operations including central receiving, recyling, and campus moves.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist with set-ups for large camps, clinics, and conferences on campus.

Operate a variety of vehicles to support projects, receiving, and waste and recovery.

Collaborate with construction team to support capital projects.

Register inbound deliveries for Central Receiving and deliver to departments on campus.

Conduct inventory tracking in the institution's warehouse.

Collaborate with all departments for office moves, furniture placement, and storage.

Supply building service worker custodians throughout campus.

Donate surplus materials to local non-profits.

Participate in multifaceted projects associated with sustainability including support of the compost expansion and waste diversion efforts.

Other duties as assigned, including the support of the Waste Recovery & Recycling team and office of sustainability.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with power had tools or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift forty (40) pounds from ground level to 48" in height throughout the work shift
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment as well as pass criminal and driving background checks

 

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
