Job Description

Middle School Industrial Tech & PLTW Educator: Architect of Innovation

Location: Ferguson Middle School (7th-8th)

Year: 2026-2027 School Year

The Opportunity: Building the Future, One Project at a Time

In our middle schools, the Industrial Technology lab is the ultimate "Think Tank." We are looking for a dynamic, visionary educator to lead our Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Gateway courses. You aren't just teaching students how to use tools; you are teaching them the Engineering Design Process. From 3D modeling and automation to structural integrity and robotics, you are the mentor who turns a student’s "What if?" into a physical reality.

As part of the FFSD "New Chapter," you will lead a high-tech, hands-on environment where "failing forward" is celebrated as part of the creative process. If you are ready to inspire the next generation of engineers, architects, and master tradespeople, your next chapter starts here.

Role Summary

As a Middle School Industrial Technology and PLTW Teacher, you will inspire and support students in reaching their academic and technical goals. You will deliver high-quality, project-based instruction using the PLTW Gateway curriculum (such as Design & Modeling or Automation & Robotics). Working in a supportive, student-centered environment, you will empower every scholar to use technology, math, and science to solve complex, real-world problems through hands-on construction and digital design.
