Until Filled Additional Information: Show/Hide - Plan, implement, maintain and evaluate the systems necessary for the support, maintenance and improvement of the school counseling program.
- Develop and deliver the school counseling curriculum in a classroom/whole group setting.
- Assist students in the areas of academic and career planning and in personal/social development.
- Provide individual and small group counseling in a variety of settings.
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff and parents in understanding and meeting the needs of students in the school setting.
- Provide necessary resources for students and parents.
- Participate in activities that contribute to the effective operation of the school.
- Pursue continuous professional growth to stay abreast of the field with a focus on high school policies, procedures, and state-wide graduation and accountability requirements.
- Promote an understanding and appreciation of diverse populations and cultures.
- Monitor and advise students and parents with regards to progress toward promotion/graduation.
- Prepare students for the transition to the next level high school and post high school activities.
- Provide guidance primarily to grades 9-10.

Qualifications
Hold a master's degree in school counseling from an accredited college or university.
Meet the certification requirements for counselor licensure from the Indiana Department of Education.
