    Applying for District Vocational Certification:
    Submit the following documents to the Monroe County School District Certification Office upon hire:

    • Verification of occupational expertise.
    • Copies of licenses or applicable certificates

    Verification of Occupational Expertise:
    At least six (6) years of full-time occupational expertise (or the equivalent part-time experience) in gasoline engine repair or diesel mechanics occupations.  Acceptable job titles include: Marine Engine Mechanic or Outboard Motor Mechanic.

    Additional Verification Requirements
    Verification from former employers must be notarized and submitted on business letterhead. The verification must specify the following:

    • Dates of employment, and
    • Job Title(s), job descriptions and responsibilities, and
    • Full-time or part-time employment information. For part-time employment, include the number of hours worked per week.
