St John of God Subiaco is welcoming additional specialists and expanding our capacity. We are looking for a skilled Senior Anaesthetic Technician to support our growing four‑theatre suite and contribute to high‑quality perioperative services.
As Senior Anaesthetic Technician, you will be responsible for the overall coordination of the anaesthetic service and promotes the development of excellence in the delivery of anaesthetic care in the Operating Suite.
The role is offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis, working 38 hours Monday to Sunday.
The Position:
Promotes excellence in anaesthetic care through active clinical practice, leadership, quality improvement, and contribution to policies and procedures within the Operating Suite.
Coordinates and supports effective anaesthetic service delivery, including staff allocation, resource utilisation, equipment troubleshooting, and liaison for repairs to meet operational and productivity goals.
Provides education, mentorship, and professional development support to anaesthetic caregivers, including junior and trainee staff, in collaboration with the Clinical Educator and leadership team.
Represents the anaesthetics service across committees and stakeholders, demonstrating strong leadership, customer service, and commitment to performance review and continuous improvement.
You will hold a Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology or Diploma of Paramedical Science (Anaesthesia), supported by substantial recent acute anaesthetic experience within an Operating Suite/Day Services Unit. You will bring demonstrated expertise as an anaesthetic technician, with a strong working knowledge of anaesthetic equipment, techniques, and procedures, and a proven commitment to quality improvement principles in clinical practice.
You will possess well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels. High-level written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to lead, motivate self and colleagues, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, are essential to success in this role.

Salary: $107,033 to $110,432. per annum, plus 12% superannuation
