PT - Men's Camp Basketball Assistant Coach

Summary of Function:
This position is responsible for assisting the men’s basketball coaching staff in the areas of drill, organization of equipment, management of all camp supplies, camp planning, and coaching, and general assistance at camp registration on the first day of the camp.
Typical Duties:
- Serves Students. Coach the men’s basketball camp and assist the Assistant Head Coach
with organizing practice and game plans. - Prepare the Gymnasium for practice and competitions by setting up the equipment and
ensuring everything is ready to go. - Distribute the Camp Brochures throughout the season.
- Supports and participates in strategic initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- A strong background in men’s basketball, including collegiate playing experience.
- Coaching and recruiting experience.
- Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations.

- Work flexible schedule to meet the CAMP’s program needs, department, and/or institutional needs, which may
include Fridays, nights, and/or weekends
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret, apply, and follow college policies and procedures
- Knowledge of or ability to maintain organizational structure, workflow and operating procedures
- Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques
- Skill in current technologies and word processing, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software,
specifically Microsoft Office applications, Windows, college system platforms, software and applications
especially those specific to the department operations - Skill and ability to be self-directed and to manage one’s own time
- Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
- Skill in fostering a positive, inclusive team culture through effective verbal communication and mentorship
- Ability to complete all departmental and/or institutional mandatory training or development
- Ability to organize, prioritize, follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion, with close attention to
detail - Ability and desire to motivate student-athletes to succeed academically and athletically.

Work Environment:
- Inside gymnasium environment with normal and high noise and lighting levels
- Indoor athletic venues and locations for athletic events, such as practice and games, possible high noise level
- Outdoor athletic venues and locations for athletic events, such as practice and games, are subject to different
weather and possible high noise level
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
- Occasional lifting to set up activities for CAMP
- May lift, carry, push, and/or pull, at times, a minimum of 25 pounds
Travel:
- No Travel Required
