10-month, full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year.

 

Job Description:  The EL/Bilingual Resource Teacher shall provide instruction to help potentially English proficient (PEP) students develop cognitive, academic, language abilities in order to function at grade level in a monolingual English class.

 

Primary responsibilites:

• Identify and assess academic level, language proficiency level, cultural history, linguistic history of students who may be/are eligible for bilingual services.


• Make recommendations as to the best placement within the Transitional Bilingual Program (full time or part time)


• Provide direct bilingual and English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) instruction to students


• Participate in the Child Study Team meetings and staffings of potentially English proficient students.

Requirements: Illinois Professional Educator License. Transitional Bilingual Approval,  English as a Second Language Endorsement or license. Background in Language Arts. Fluency in Ukrainian and English. Experiences in intercultural mediation.
