Role Overview:
Future Technologies is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong background in wireless communications and oil & gas infrastructure to lead the execution of turnkey communication projects across upstream, midstream and transmission environments.
This role requires a hands-on leader with prior field engineering experience who understands the full lifecycle of wireless deployments, from engineering and design through installation, commissioning, and long-term operational support.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing multi-site industrial projects while aligning engineering, field operations, EPC contractors, and customer stakeholders. A strong understanding of oil & gas pricing models, bid strategy, cost controls, and field execution risks is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Delivery
Lead full turnkey wireless communication projects including:
- Broadband (LTE, Microwave, IP Networks)
- Narrowband (SCADA, telemetry, licensed/unlicensed radio systems)
- Private Cellular Networks (PCN)
Manage End-to-End Project Lifecycle:
- Scope definition and requirements alignment
- Engineering coordination
- Procurement, vendor management & logistics
- Site readiness coordination
- Field deployment oversight
- Testing, Integration & commissioning
- Project financial tracking and cost control
- Customer acceptance & project closeout
Pre-Sales Support:
- Partner with Sales and customers to define executable, field-ready project scope
- Support accurate estimating for labor, materials, logistics and subcontractors
- Evaluate constructability and site risk during bid phase
- Identify execution risks and adjust scope, pricing or schedule accordingly
- Support SOW and proposal development to ensure deliverability
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of project management experience (Preferably in the Oil & Gas infrastructure)
- Prior field technician or field engineering background
- Experience with Private LTE/5G, SCADA, microwave, or industrial wireless
- Experience managing subcontractors and vendors
- Ability to travel to project sites
