Job Description

Plains Area Mental Health, Inc. is a Community Mental Health Center with 10 locations in Northwest Iowa. PAMHC is seeking a full-time Psychologist based out of our Denison location. Travel to our satellite offices is required. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. This position will employ a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.

Pay Range:

$94,000.00 up to $105,000.00 depending on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting psychological assessments to evaluate emotional, cognitive, and behavioral functioning

  • Diagnosing and developing treatment plans and recommendations

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records

  • Collaborating with other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care

  • Refer clients for treatment of psychological disorders as warranted and appropriate

  • Keeps current on testing and diagnostic related material, rules, and practices

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Valid Iowa licensure to practice as an Independent Doctor of Psychology

  • One-Two years’ experience in conducting assessments in an outpatient setting

  • Valid Driver’s License and Insurance

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual a plus, but not required
