We are seeking an experienced and driven engineer to identify and drive automation and engineering solutions across a variety of workflows involved in process & analytical development and manufacturing of therapeutic biologic products

Key Accountabilities/ Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement lab automation strategy to support manufacturing scalability.

  • Lead lab automation with data systems to reduce deviations.

  • Proactively identify and assess transformational opportunities for lab automation and digital applications that strategically enable increased throughput, efficiency, and robustness of processes and analytical methods across Tech Ops.

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Tech Ops Leadership Team and Denali SLC Site Leadership Team, identifying opportunities to leverage automation for enhanced operational strategies.

  • Partner with Denali IT, Quality, and Tech Ops leadership to champion the selection, development of system requirements, and successful deployment of automation solutions within the compliance framework, managing the solution portfolio as needs evolve.

  • Collaborate with Denali IT, SLC Validation, and QA to drive the adoption of innovative, compliant approaches for Computer Systems Verification and Validation.

  • Mentor and develop Tech Ops personnel to build organizational capability and understanding of automation strategies and digital applications relevant to their areas of work, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through technology.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • B.S. degree in engineering or related scientific discipline with 10+ years of experience in relevant fields

  • In-depth understanding of implementation of automation tools including liquid handling robotics for application in analytic and process development

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop and implement solutions with a broad range of partners

  • Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies and relevant fields

  • Demonstrated ability for taking initiative, creativity, and innovation in problem solving

  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization to embrace solutions which drive transformational change in the way work is done
