Job Summary

The Health Unit Coordinator role is a unit support position, under the direction and supervision of the charge nurse and accountable to the Clinical Coordinator and Manager.

 

This position is working at the front desk in a busy Endocscopy office. Responsibilities will include serving as the first point of contact at the front desk, greeting patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and empathy and checking patients in for procedures and escort them to pre-operative areas, ensuring a seamless transition through the surgical process as well as other office related duties. 

 

Must have:

 

-Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure 

-Basic proficiency in commonly used computer applications, including Microsoft Office or equivalent systems

-Maintain and update patient charts, records, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies.

 

 

Workdays/Shift/Start Time

Fulltime: 40 hours a week, 1st shift, Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm- no weekends or holiday. 

 

Salary Range:

$17.35/hr - $23.60/hr (rate offered is based on related experience)
