VCPUSD has a history of excellence, serving 4,000 students in grades PK – 12 in the beautiful rural communities of Valley Center and Pauma. The school district covers approximately 300 square miles in northern San Diego County. Our district is known as a leader with educational technology, award winning Dual Immersion (English-Spanish) program, outstanding music programs, competitive athletic programs, high graduation rate and Partnership for Success program with CSUSM.
Our community supports and appreciates the educational program which includes academic and vocational programs, including an outstanding agriculture program and Media Technology Pathway.
We use technology as a resource and learning tool to ensure students are 21st Century Learners. All schools are transitioning to the Common Core State Standards and Smarter Balance Assessments as teachers and administrators work together to provide quality instructional strategies for all students.

Job Summary
THE DISTRICT HAS DISCRETION TO AWARD ADDITIONAL YEARS OF EXPERIENCE FOR EXPERIENCED TEACHERS UP TO 28 YEARS.

Three current, signed & dated letters of reference (within 6 months).
Additional Notes regarding salary placement:
(1) Newly hired certificated employees will be given credit for up to seven years of full time credentialed public-school experience, experience at an accredited college or university, or experience in an accredited private school, and full credit for approved college units. The District has discretion to award additional years of experience credit beyond 7 years for more experienced teachers.
(2) Teachers with a credential that is based on a bachelor's degree will start in Range I through V depending on the number of units they have past the issuance of their Bachelor's degree.
(3) District approved Master & Doctoral degrees will receive a $2,374 stipend annually.

Requirements / Qualifications
Must possess or be eligible for a Multiple Subject Credential and BCLAD Authorization.

$ 70,712 - $ 127,185 (B.A. fully credentialed)* see below for additional details regarding salary placement.
