MDS Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MDS Director to join our team at Rockdale Healthcare Center in Conyers, GA. As a key member of our Skilled Nursing Facility Financial Services Office, the MDS Director will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for all residents. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of MDS assessments for all residents, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to gather and document resident data, including medical history, functional status, and cognitive and psychological assessments

  • Analyze and interpret assessment data to identify trends and areas for improvement in resident care

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the accuracy and completeness of MDS assessments

  • Provide ongoing training and education to staff on MDS assessment processes and procedures

  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and other healthcare organizations to ensure compliance with MDS assessment standards

  • Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities to ensure high-quality resident care

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as nursing, healthcare administration, or gerontology)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MDS Director or in a related role

  • Strong understanding of MDS assessment processes and procedures, including federal and state regulations

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
