About the Role: 

Citco is seeking a Tax Compliance Manager for its US and Canadian subsidiaries. The Tax Compliance Manager will report directly to the Regional Controller, based in Canada, and will work closely with the Group’s  Tax Counsel & Accounting team based in Switzerland (“Group Tax”). The job holder will be primeraly responsible for the management and execution of tax compliance matters in the US and Canada including income tax compliance, tax accounting, indirect tax issues and other taxes.
 

Job Duties in Brief: 

Manage the preparation of the corporate income tax returns and other tax related compliance reporting requirements.
Manage the preparation of tax installments and quarterly estimates calculations, ensuring that installments are made on a timely basis
Ensure compliance of all tax related filings and deadlines for the US and Canadian companies.
Become the main point of contact to PWC for the US companies and Deloitte for the companies in Canada for tax compliance related matters, and ensure all tax deadlines are met.
Work closely with Group Tax and assist in transfer pricing and tax planning requirements.
Work closely with the Toronto and India General Ledger teams in gathering all the related data for annual tax returns, quarterly estimates, state returns, etc.
Interact with multiple stakeholders/departments to establish system/reporting requirements to enable accurate tax filings.  
Support the local offices US and Canadian tax audits as they arise.
Maintain a sound processese around HST returns filings.
Assists with development of automation for tax work papers & processes
Ensure compliance with other tax obligations such as commercial rent taxes, FBARs, Sales and Use Taxes amongst others.
Proactively seek out opportunities to enhance or streamline indirect tax compliance processes
Be integral part of the Finance team with involvement in the review of the payroll reconciliations for the US companies. 
Maintain adequate workings papers with back documentation for all tax returns.
Be a self-starter and drive for results. 
 

About You: 

Must have a Bachelor degree in either Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Completion of (or in progress) an Accounting designation (CPA) an advantage
Must have a minimum of  5+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience in US tax compliance for foreign multinationals is an asset.
Experience in Oracle an advantage.
Must have advanced knowledge on MS Excel and Word.
Must be with good tax and accounting acumen, attention to detail and self driving.
Must have ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
Good project management skills.
