Position Summary:
Amkor Technology is recruiting for an Information Technology Service Desk Internship based at its corporate offices in Tempe, AZ. The Service Desk Intern position will learn and assist the Service Desk Team provide quality technology support to Amkor end users
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Intern will perform the following duties at minimum as required, operating in a highly team oriented, proactive, and cost efficient environment:
- Assist the Service Desk Team to deliver technology support
- Assist with the configuration and deployment of new equipment such as laptops, desktops, or cellular phones
- Assist with software installs
- Assisit with user equipment and software provisioning tasks
- Assist in collecting information for the equipment inventory (for purchase and proper disposal) as needed
- Regularly conduct IT Stock Inventory Count for sotck replenishment report
Keeping working areas organized and tidy for an efficient working environment
Required Qualifications:
- Student applicants must be currently accepted for, or enrolled in, a four-year accredited college or university in a course of study relevant to Computer Science / Information Systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Student applicants must have completed their sophomore year prior to the start of the internship• All applicants must possess a minimum GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale at the time of application
- High aptitude for learning new software and concepts with attention to detail
- A passion and energy for technology and information technology
- Minimum entry-level competence and knowledge with/of computer/network hardware and software
Must be flexible to work on-site as well as remotely as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Accomplishment of or interest in certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA A+/Network+
Location:
Tempe, AZ. This position has a hybrid schedule. Candidates must reside near the Amkor office. No relocation, housing or transportation will be provided.
