Job Description
Job Description:

Are you ready to shape the future of clean energy by delivering sharp insight that drives smarter investment decisions? At EDF Power Solutions, your analysis will help power Britain and Ireland’s journey to net zero and support the growth of our renewable energy portfolio.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated Investment Analyst with a passion for renewable energy to join EDF Power Solutions. You will support valuations across wind, solar and storage projects, helping shape investment decisions in the UK and Ireland markets.

You will work closely with senior analysts and project teams, contributing insight that supports M&A, partnerships, financing solutions, auctions and Final Investment Decisions. This role offers strong development opportunities in a fast‑growing sector.

Location: This role is hybrid based from our office in #London or #Edinburgh.
Closing Date: 21st of May 2026

Who you are

We are seeking an analytical thinker who can communicate insights clearly and enjoy solving complex problems. You are curious about renewables and motivated by contributing to the UK’s net zero objectives, with a strong desire to grow into a trusted modeller.

You bring strong data skills and can collect, clean and interpret information with accuracy. You take pride in presenting high‑quality work and can manage your workflow in a fast‑moving environment.

You have sound commercial awareness and can translate technical and financial inputs into clear outputs. You build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, and you thrive in a collaborative team.

Financial modelling experience, understanding of accounting and valuation techniques, and knowledge of the UK electricity and renewables market are all beneficial.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will engage in project valuation work, collating and challenging assumptions to deliver reliable financial outputs that support investment decisions across multiple technologies
  • You will prepare analysis, insight and presentations for key stakeholders and project managers
  • You will support business critical work streams, contributing to papers for senior management
  • You will maintain and develop business models and tools to support project optimisation workstreams and analysis of funding solutions at project and portfolio level
  • You will provide research and modelling support to monitor policy and regulatory changes and assess impacts on EDF Power Solutions
  • You will support competitor analysis, including auction analysis and wider industry tracking
  • You will assist the M&A and Origination functions within the team.
