The Pharmacy Store Manager is entrusted with the comprehensive management of all items and inventory located on the retail side of the pharmacy. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the retail area is meticulously organized, appropriately stocked, and well-maintained to deliver exemplary customer experience. The Pharmacy Store Manager collaborates closely with front-end staff and coordinates as necessary with pharmacy technicians, our related pharmacies and pharmacists; however, this role does not include supervision of prescription or clinical operations.
Essential Job Functions:
· Set up and manage vendors in the system, submitting invoices to AP, and assisting our other pharmacies with ordering supplies
· Inventory Management: Direct stocking, replenishment, and rotation of all non-prescription merchandise, such as over-the-counter medications, health products, personal care items, and general retail goods.
· Merchandising: Ensure that product displays are visually appealing, current, and compliant with corporate standards. Organize and implement promotional materials and seasonal displays to optimize sales performance.
· Stock Control: Monitor inventory levels, analyze sales trends, and coordinate with suppliers to facilitate timely product replenishment. Address inventory issues, including shortages, surpluses, and expired stock, in a prompt manner.
· Store Appearance: Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the retail floor, encompassing shelves, aisles, and all communal areas. Conduct periodic inspections to maintain rigorous standards of safety and hygiene.
· Loss Prevention: Develop and implement procedures to minimize product loss and deter theft, including the surveillance of high-risk items and the provision of staff training on security protocols.
· Customer Service Support: Provide assistance to customers by locating merchandise, addressing inquiries related to retail products, and resolving product-related concerns. Collaborate with front-end staff to foster a welcoming environment for patrons.
· Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and schedule staff members assigned to the store floor. Assign daily responsibilities and ensure team adherence to all company policies and procedures.
· Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory status, sales metrics, and stock variances to store management.
· Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
· Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
· Communicate with co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education (associate’s or bachelor’s degree) is preferred.
· Previous experience in retail management, inventory oversight, or merchandising is highly desirable.
· Demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities.
· Superior communication and customer service skills.
· Proficiency in the use of inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
· Willingness to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
· Physical capability to lift, transport, and stock merchandise as necessary.
