Job Description
  • Creating drafts of bi-weekly internal student-facing event flyers for approval and sending details of bi-weekly external (off-campus) event flyers to communications
  • Emailing bi-monthly speakers for bios, headshots, and event details, tracking RSVPs, and related event planning activities
  • Orchestrating pick-ups and mailings of any industry donations in terms of fabrics, trims, materials, and assisting with the creation of a materials lab and other creative initiatives across campus
  • Assisting with field trip, class speaker, and student tour details and planning
  • Accompanying classes on occasional trips for photo taking and sharing with marketing
  • Student reach out for fashion workshops, volunteer opportunities and more
  • As well as various other assorted duties for the fashion-department as needed

Skills needed:

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Expertise with Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Expertise with (or a willingness to learn) Canva
  • Creative eye and can occasionally make visually engaging flyers
  • Ability to stay organized and detail-oriented in a busy atmosphere
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude!

Weekly hours:

  • 16-20 hours/week. Preference is for three 4-hour days. The student will work between locations Berkeley 41st and Berkeley 43rd.
