    This is a Ute Pass BOCES position that serves Woodland Park School District and Cripple Creek/Victor School District.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education/Certification:

    • Master's Degree required as appropriate for endorsement
    • Hold or be eligible to hold Colorado License
    • Hold appropriate endorsement(s) and/or meet North Central Association Accreditatation Standards
    • Internships will be considered

    Experience:

    • Successful completion of or currently engaged in internship assignment
    • Previous experience in an education setting desirable

    Additional Expectations:

    • Demonstrated knowledge of developmental needs of students
    • Evidence of ability to establish and maintain effective cooperative relationships with school personnel, students and parents
    • Demonstrated understanding and empathy necessary for working with students

    STAFF RELATIONSHIP:
    Major Relationship: Staff
    Immediate Supervisor: Building Principal/Director of Special Education/Asst. Superintendent

    KEY RESULT AREAS AND ATTENDANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Professional Responsibilities:

    • Evaluates students' developmental, social and emotional needs and consults with teachers and parents regarding those needs
    • Collaborates with others to implement by instruction and action the district's philosophy, goals, and objectives
    • Participates in professional growth opportunities
    • Takes all reasonable precautions to protect students, materials and facilities
    • Recognizes concerns and constructively contributes to their resolution
    • Maintains accurate, complete and correct records in an efficient and prompt manner as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation
    • Encourages educational programs and/or procedures to maximize learning through consultation at IEP meetings, RTI team meetings, parent conference, etc.
    • Uses formal and informal methods to assess the abilities and needs of students and consult with staff regarding those methods
    • Provides crisis intervention counseling and risk assessment as needed
    • Provides ongoing counseling to students as assigned
    • Assist with Child Find evaluations


    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    Contract Starting Date of August, 2026. 180 days, 1.0 FTE
    Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience
