POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Automation Solution Analyst sits at the intersection of business process, automation, and applied AI, translating stakeholder needs into practical, scalable solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and reusable automation patterns. This role focuses on designing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining automation solutions that deliver fast, repeatable value while maintaining appropriate governance, security, and long-term maintainability.
The role emphasizes strong process understanding, sound judgment, and thoughtful application of AI-assisted capabilities. By staying current with workflow automation, Copilot, and emerging AI approaches, the Automation Solution Analyst helps reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, and deliver measurable business impact across the organization.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, configure, support, and maintain automation solutions, including workflows and AI-assisted capabilities, using Microsoft Power Automate, Copilot Studio, or similar platforms
- Build, test, and deploy automations with a focus on stability, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability
- Monitor automations, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements or refinements
- Partner with business teams to identify, document, and optimize processes suitable for automation
- Translate business requirements into clear automation and solution designs, applying AI selectively where it adds value
- Assess automation feasibility and recommend the appropriate level of solution complexity, balancing speed, governance, and operational impact
- Follow governance, security, and compliance best practices while enabling rapid value delivery
- Create and maintain clear documentation, solution notes, and training materials for end users and business partners
- Collaborate with business operations, Salesforce development, and database teams to ensure solutions are appropriately scoped and handed off when needed
- Stay current on workflow automation, Microsoft Power Platform, and Copilot capabilities, recommending practical enhancements and new use cases
- Other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university, focus in MIS or Computer Science preferred
- 3–5 years of experience working in automation, process improvement, and/or business systems analysis
- Strong ability to understand, map, and break down business processes into clear, actionable components
- Hands-on experience with or strong exposure to workflow automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate or similar platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality in dealing with client matters
- Must consent to and have favorable consumer report and background check
OTHER ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE TRAITS:
- System oriented software design mentality, knowing when to leverage AI tools
- General understanding of Agentic AI concepts and where agent-based approaches may be appropriate within business workflows
- Ability to translate product requirements and high-level designs into low-level, implementation ready designs
- Ability to reason end-to-end across product, data, and infrastructure
- Ability to be proactive and anticipate issues; works quickly and proactively to solve them
- Willingness to learn, expand responsibility
