About the position...
The Pool Attendant will be responsible for monitoring and checking in all residents and guests to the pool area at assigned residential communities. This role includes communicating community rules, helping keep the pool deck clean and organized, and providing friendly customer service. The Pool Attendant maintains a visible presence to help enforce pool guidelines, support a positive resident experience, and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone!
- Check in all residents and guests by verifying and obtaining pool passes as well as distributing them back upon their departure.
- Ensure that all minors are accompanied by an adult and/or guardian based on established company policies.
- Responsible for preparing the pool logbook and binder for the day.
- Monitor the activities in the pool area and eliminate issues for residents if the need arises.
- Responsible for maintaining order, presentation, and cleanliness of all pool furniture at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Open and close umbrellas at beginning and end of shifts, especially when weather conditions vary.
- Enforce community pool rules and guidelines in a professional and courteous manner.
- Responsible for checking and skimming the surface of the pool for any light debris.
- Perform regular pool water testing, document results, and report any chemical imbalances to property staff.
- Routinely picks up trash, empties cans, and replace bags as needed throughout the facilities, including but not limited to the pool deck and restrooms.
- Responsible for keeping restrooms stocked, orderly, and clear of debris.
- Report maintenance issues, water quality concerns, or safety hazards to management immediately.
Requirements
What we are looking for from you...
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Regular and reliable attendance throughout the summer, weekends, and holidays is required based on provided availability
- Comfortable interacting with residents and guests in a friendly and respectful manner
- Uses basic problem-solving skills and ability to notify management of concerns
- Comfortable enforcing community rules in a calm, respectful, and professional manner
- Demonstrates strong attention to property cleanliness and actively takes initiative to always maintain an organized and well-presented pool area
- Comfortable working outdoors during shifts, including during warm and humid weather
