Job Overview:






























Performs psychological evaluations for the comprehensive Health Evaluation of children (CHEC) program. Provides supervision to mental health professionals in the RDTC, FLEC and CHEC Programs; oversees the functioning of the FLEC Program.

  • Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology – NJ State Psychology License

Essential Functions:














  • Maintains positive relationships with all customers, employee, physician, patient, visitor, and guests

  • Utilizes a variety of feedback to improve processes and services to meet and exceed customer needs

  • Follows though on all customer requests and inquiries in a timely fashion.

  • Utilizes principles of CQI in all work situations.

  • Seeks feedback and recommendations from others to improve the quality, processes and services.

  • Contributes to improving quality services and productivity (takes the initiative to continually evaluate one’s work, report problems, suggest solutions and try new ideas)

  • Determines priorities and organizes work and time to meet them.

  • Follows sound employee retention techniques; effective selection and

    interviewing, recognition, fair and timely discipline, and ongoing performance feedback

  • Interacts constructively , tactfully and diplomatically with others and resolves conflicts effectively

  • Demonstrates cultural competency and ability to maintain a diverse workforce

  • Conducts psychological evaluations of children placed in foster care

  • Supervises evaluations and therapy of RDTC child abuse victims. Supervises evaluations and therapy of parents in the FLEC Program. Supervises crises intervention and/or consultation to the Department of Pediatrics regarding child abuse crises, as needed

  • Oversees the FLEC Program and is responsible for supervising the operation of clinical services while maintaining a high level of patient care

  • Provides training to psychology graduate students and mental health staff, as needed
