Job Description

Participating in a comprehensive range of training activities under the direction of a designated Orthopaedic Attending. These activities may take place inpatient, and outpatient services at Emory University Orthopaedics and Spine Hospital, Emory University Hospital, Emory University Midtown, Grady Health System, Veteran’s Affair Hospital, and the Emory Musculoskeletal Institute and include:
o Assimilate skills in evaluation and management of all specialty disorders.
o Perform full spectrum surgical/and or non-surgical methods for patient population.
o Provide independent patient management.
o Participate in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
o Engage and gain exposure with the orthopaedic faculty.

• Participate in the development and completion of two clinical or translational research projects specific to orthopaedic specialty and suitable for publication.
• Participate in the clinical education, training, and development of residents and medical students through on-site clinical rotation activities and campus-related conferences.
• Demonstrate constant professionalism with staff, residents, fellows, and attendings in clinic, operating room, and conferences.
• Provide at least one Grand Rounds lecture.
• Lead journal club.
• Participate in appropriate conferences on a regular basis.
• Keep an active case log for quarterly submission to the Program Coordinator.
