Key Responsibilities (Strategy & Config)
Compensation Cycles: Configure and launch the Annual Merit and Bonus process using Advanced Compensation grids.
Time & Absence Rules: Design complex accrual calculations and time entry validations (e.g., California meal break penalties).
Payroll Optimization: Partner with the Payroll Manager to configure new Earnings/Deductions codes and tax mappings.
L2 Support & Operational Activities (Daily Run)
Payroll Critical Care: Troubleshoot and resolve "red" errors during the payroll calculation window (e.g., retro-processing failures, negative net pay blocks).
Time Entry Fixes: Manually correct stuck time sheets or "submitted but not approved" time cards to ensure payroll cutoff is met.
Transaction Rescinds: Perform complex rescinds or manual corrections for "Hire," "Termination," or "Job Change" events that were entered incorrectly by HR.
Mass Data Loads (EIBs): Prepare and load operational EIBs for One-Time Payments, Ad-Hoc Bonus payouts, or mass organizational reassignments.
W-2/Year-End Support: Assist with year-end auditing, balancing validation, and printing of tax documents.
Qualifications
Mandatory Certification: Workday Pro/Implementer in Payroll or HCM.
Experience: 3-5+ years in HRIS Operations.
Skill: High comfort level with "high stakes" data (money/banking/SSNs).
