Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned DevOps professional who will work cross-functionally to help implement and operationalize some of the most advanced cloud architectures running on AWS. The DevOps Engineer will demonstrate technical depth, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion to solve complex business problems.
The Cloud Operations Engineer role is an important supporting role for the global 24/7 SaaS Operations group. Candidates will have a chance to work in a dynamic environment across several product lines as well as administer technical solutions in hosted data centers and the cloud.
You will be working in a "SaaS Operations” production environment as part of a 24/7 team that requires high personal accountability, and a readiness to provide support, should any critical issue arise. You will work alongside engineering teams to implement solutions for infrastructure and POCs, deliver technical expertise, and establish best practices.

You will work alongside engineering teams to implement solutions for infrastructure and POCs, deliver technical expertise, and establish best practices.
You will be working with a team of highly skilled professionals to provide fast support for the company’s products, fulfill day-to-day requests, automate tasks, and participate in both small and large engineering projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support highly available 24/7 production SaaS applications by monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving issues, configuring, and installing custom-developed and third-party applications, primarily within AWS
- Write and maintain custom automation to increase system efficiency, quality, and reduce human intervention on any task
- Work closely with the Development team during the application development process
- Work with team members on project tasks derived from release requirements
- Identify and recommend options for improving performance, maintainability, and operability
- Participate in the engineering, planning, upgrade, and maintenance of the hosted Infrastructure
Education and Experience:
- A great attitude and drive to produce high-quality work
- Professional, responsive, and able to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to deliver high-quality with extreme attention to detail
- A minimum of 7 years of IT experience
- Skilled in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Unix Shell, Python)
- Experience with configuration management solutions (Packer, EC2 Builder, Jenkins)
- Skilled in troubleshooting issues throughout the entire infrastructure stack
- Strong experience with web application technologies (IIS, Node.js)
- Excellent understanding of server operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Proficiency with database technologies (MySQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis)
- Solid understanding of proper communication and collaboration involving changes, issues, and process
- Experience working in an environment where availability, scalability, security, compliance, process, change management, and documentation are operating imperatives (SOC2)
- An eagerness to learn enough about whatever tools or tricks are needed to get the job done
