Job Description

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Engineering team through design development, testing, and production support to ensure high-quality products and efficient processes. This position is ideal for individuals with strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to manufacturing and continuous improvement.The Engineering Technician is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed drawings and documentation, assisting with new product and process testing, and supporting production needs under the Director of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and revise detailed design drawings and specifications
  • Create 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Support testing and evaluation of new products and processes
  • Provide production support aligned with engineering timelines
  • Review prints and work instructions for accuracy and completeness
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve production and design-related issues

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma required
  • Preferred: coursework or experience in engineering, CAD, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication experience
  • Vocational training or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Ability to create and interpret technical drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with precision measurement tools
  • Familiarity with sheet metal processes (laser, forming, welding, assembly)
  • CNC programming knowledge preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
