Role Overview:
As a Diesel Mechanic at Waste Pro, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty and light-duty trucks, including diesel, gasoline, and CNG systems. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. You’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and productive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and more.
  • Complete repairs identified on DVIRs and repair orders.
  • Communicate effectively with managers and drivers about vehicle issues and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work area.
  • Use vehicle electronics and service manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to junior technicians and shop helpers.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and service manuals.
  • Ability to complete repairs within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs).
  • CDL Class B preferred (must obtain within 12 months).
  • High standards of ethics, dependability, and safety.
