Title: Inside Sales Representative

Job Summary/Objective:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for performing a variety of customer service-related duties. These
include in-store sales, answering sales-related phone calls, providing customers with estimates/options, assisting
walk-in customers, looking up parts, creating work/sales orders, creating pick tickets, and selling Valley Truck
Parts, Inc. parts and services.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
• Sell products and/or services to address customer needs through various sales channels, including Used
Parts, E-Bay, Branch locations, and Website digital marketing channels (website, social media, SEO, etc.).
• Provide pricing and availability quotes to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Follow up with customers as needed.
• Close sales with potential customers by promoting Valley’s core values of availability, quality, and service.
• Sell additional “add-on” products or services to customers.
• Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging customers.
• Record all sales and customer transactions.
• Follow prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of Valley Truck Parts, Inc.
• Work with dispatch to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
• Promote Valley’s products in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Basic computer/application skills.
• Effective listening and one-on-one communication skills.
• Ability to interpret customers’ needs.
• Good organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of driveline products, including:
o Transmission models & parts
o Differential models & parts
o PTO, pumps, hydraulic valves
o Steering

Physical Demands
• This role requires a range of physical activities essential to operational success and safety:
o Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Pulling: Regularly required to lift, move, or transport items weighing up to
50+ pounds, using proper ergonomic techniques and equipment when necessary.
o Mobility & Movement: Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods
throughout the workday, often on varied surfaces or in tight spaces.
o Communication: Clear verbal communication and active listening are essential for team
coordination, safety protocols, and customer interaction.
o Manual Dexterity & Reach: Routine reaching overhead, handling tools or materials, and climbing
ladders or stairs to access equipment, storage, or work areas.
Travel:
This role may involve occasional travel for business development and training purposes, including:
• Participating in ride-alongs with field representatives or account managers
• Supporting regional sales blitz initiatives
• Attending offsite training sessions or team-building events as needed
