  • Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information; reporting observations of the resident to nurses.
  • Provides patient omfort by answering patient/resident call lights and requests; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
  • Protects healthcare organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
  • Serves and protects the healthcare community by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and JCAHO standards.
  • · Assist residents with routine health directions from a physician, nurse or therapist.
  • Provides patient/resident support by assisting with travel to the bathroom; feeding patient/residents; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients/residents; applying restraints; transporting patients/residents; serving meals, blood glucose
  • Maintain education as assigned in Healthstream
  • Position requires frequent standing and walking, along with lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping/crouching, and occasional sitting.
  • Maintain occupational health records as needed per USA Health Policy
  • Run Errands for nurse and Physcian as needed
  • Work as a team and promote quality outcomes for patients

  • report changes to nurse, record all documentation in a timely manner,
  • Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
  • Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience Required
  • CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 Days Required
  • Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
