Join Verdantas in shaping a sustainable future! We are seeking a Summer Ecological Intern to support our dynamic team in Tampa, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in diverse ecosystems, contribute to meaningful environmental projects, and make a real impact on conservation efforts. If you’re passionate about ecology, enjoy hands-on fieldwork, and thrive in challenging conditions, we’d love to have you on our team.

What you'll do:
  • Wetland vegetation monitoring
  • Wetland delineation
  • Gopher tortoise and other listed species surveys
  • Gopher tortoise relocation
What You Bring:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science-Biology or Environmental Science
  • 0-2 years of experience with collecting soil, groundwater, concrete, or sediment samples
  • Capable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment
  • Must have a personal vehicle to travel to work sites
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods, on occasions

Salary Range:

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications of the candidate as it relates to the position description
