- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Texas teaching certificate (Physical Education or appropriate certification)
- UIL and district-required coaching certifications
- Previous high school or competitive basketball coaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching physical education preferred
- Knowledge of basketball fundamentals, rules, and strategies
- Knowledge of physical education curriculum and TEKS
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and manage student-athletes
- Commitment to ethical conduct and student development
- Ability to stand, move, and demonstrate physical skills for extended periods
- Ability to lift and transport athletic equipment

The Head High School Boys Basketball Coach / High School Physical Education Teacher is responsible for leading, organizing, and supervising the high school basketball program in accordance with district goals, campus expectations, and University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules while also providing high-quality instruction in high school physical education.
This dual role supports student academic achievement, physical development, character education, and competitive growth.
