We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Design Estimator to design and integrated security solutions across commercial, industrial, and critical infrastructure environments.
This role is responsible for developing scalable, code-compliant, and field-ready designs for access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and intrusion systems. You will partner closely with sales, operations, and clients to deliver solutions that meet both operational demands and security requirements in real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and integrated security systems for commercial and industrial facilities, including:
- Access Control Systems (LenelS2, Genetec, AMAG, RS2, etc.)
- Video Surveillance (CCTV / VMS) (Axis, Hanwha, Avigilon, Milestone, Genetec)
- Intrusion Detection Systems (Bosch, Honeywell, DSC, etc.)
- Develop detailed design packages, including:
- Floor plans, device layouts, and camera coverage
- Conduct site walks and field assessments in active commercial and industrial environments
- Review RFPs, construction drawings, and specifications to define scope and system requirements
- Build bill of materials (BOM) and support estimating for design-build and bid/spec projects
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, UL standards, and local AHJ requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure design accuracy and execution
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning
- Coordinate with IT teams on network infrastructure and system integrations
- Stay current on security technologies, platforms, and industry best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in security systems design, engineering, or estimating
- Proven experience working in commercial and/or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of:
- Access control systems and door hardware integration
- IP video surveillance systems and camera placement strategies
- Intrusion and alarm systems
- Experience is a plus Bluebeam
- Solid understanding of IP networking (PoE, VLANs, system architecture)
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical specifications
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and clients
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for site visits
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, data centers, or large commercial campuses
- Familiarity with enterprise-level integrations and VMS platforms
