    Position:  JH Girls Volleyball Coach
    Date of Availability:  2026-2027 School Year

    Job Summary:
    To assist in the instruction of athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
     
    Qualifications Required: 

    1. Has the ability to lead, organize and assist in the supervision of a sports program.
    2. Has previous coaching experience.
    3. Has knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.

     
    Responsibilities: 

    1. Instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially acceptable character development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes.
    2. Serves as a mentor to each athlete to promote the development and demonstration in student athletes the character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
    3. Gives continual attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct.
    4. By his/her presence at all practices games and while traveling, provides assistance, guidance and safeguards for each participant.
    5. Provides training rules and any other unique regulations of the sport to each athlete who is considered a participant.
    6. Directs student managers, assistants and statisticians.
    7. Assist with discipline, delineates procedures concerning due process when the enforcement of discipline is necessary and contacts parents when a student is dropped or becomes ineligible.
    8. Examines locker rooms before and after practices and games, checking on general cleanliness of the facility. Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of specific sport equipment.
    9. Secures all doors, lights, windows and locks before leaving building if custodians are not on duty.
    10. Instills in each player a respect for equipment and school property, its care and proper use.
    11. Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor.

     
    Salary based on Schedule.
