Equipment Operator – Execute Precision Site Grading and Environmental Restoration

Salary/Pay Rate: $23-25+ per hour, based on experience.
Location: Webster, SD (Travel Required).
Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Weekends, and Overtime.
Project Scope: Landscaping / Hardscaping (Residential, Commercial, Government, or Federal).
Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

How You Will Make an Impact
Operate excavators, skid steers, and hydro-mulchers to execute precise site grading and erosion control plans.
Maneuver specialized machinery in challenging terrains to install silt fences, blankets, and permanent seeding solutions.
Perform daily pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and job site safety.
Collaborate with field crews to interpret project blueprints and execute technical earth-moving tasks with high accuracy.
Transport heavy machinery safely between project sites while adhering to all transit regulations and schedules.
Adapt to changing site conditions by troubleshooting equipment issues and adjusting techniques to meet project specifications.
Required Qualifications & Experience
2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or landscaping environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in fine grading and material handling using skid steers or similar machinery.
Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record for equipment transportation.
Proven ability to work long hours outdoors and travel to various regional project locations.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic field repairs and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for hauling heavy equipment trailers.
Specific experience in erosion control projects or hydro-seeding applications.
Previous experience working on government or federal job sites with strict compliance standards.
