Shift Type: Nights and weekends; Monday and Tuesday OFF

 

Tipped Position!

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail
  • Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity 75% of the time
  • Issues and receives funds for chips, tokens, vouchers, coins and promotional items purchased or won in the casino
  • Issues necessary operating funds to other departments
  • Knowledge and ensure compliance with Title 31 regulations, NH Lottery regulations and company internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Balances assigned funds and maintains an organized workstation
  • Operates computer, coin sorter, money sorter, office equipment, telephones and key control system
  • Maintains and completes various gaming and company forms and reports
  • Reports any monetary or procedural discrepancy to the cage supervisor or manager in a timely manner
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Input customer information into computer system
  • Sell change and tokens
  • Cash casino chips and loose change
  • Monitor key control procedures
  • Execute ticket payouts
  • Responsible for providing quality customer service to guests
  • Recognize and greet guests frequently
  • All other duties as assigned

AGE and GAMING:

18 years of age or above

NH Gaming License

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Previous cash handling or accounting experience preferred.  High school diploma or equivalent.

 

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Ability to accurately process data using a computer

·         Proficient 10-key touch

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals to process and reconcile customer transactions.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations. Requires the ability to understand and follow Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and be adept and proactive in problem solving. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The Employee will be required to lift up to 50lbs from floor level to chest height.  The employee is also constantly required to stand, walk, stoop, lift, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. This position requires the use of tools and equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity for long periods of time.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Summary

The Cage Cashier is responsible for processing and exchanging tickets, handling chip exchanges and cash advances, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Cage Supervisor, the Cage Cashier manages financial transactions, including exchanging cash for casino tokens and vouchers from various departments. They ensure all Cage patrons receive prompt, courteous, and accurate service.
