The IMA Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Payer Services division as a Clinical File Review Specialist. This role is ideal for nurses looking to transition away from bedside care into a fully remote, non-patient-facing position focused on clinical analysis and documentation.
In this role, you’ll support physician reviewers by analyzing and organizing complex medical records to ensure accurate, high-quality case preparation.
Compensation:
$90,000 – $120,000 annually, based on experience and licensure

What You’ll Do:
- Review medical records for disability, workers’ compensation, and insurance-related cases
- Summarize complex clinical information into clear, structured reports
- Identify key findings, inconsistencies, and gaps in documentation
- Prepare organized case summaries to support physician review
- Collaborate with physician reviewers and QA teams
- Meet quality and turnaround time expectations
What You Bring:
- Active, unrestricted RN license
- 3+ years of clinical experience (ICU, ER, Ortho, Neuro, IM, or similar preferred)
- Strong ability to interpret medical records and clinical documentation
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Comfort working in a remote, fast-paced, documentation-heavy environment
Preferred:
- Experience in workers’ compensation, disability, or insurance-based review
- Familiarity with utilization review, IME, or file review processes
- Experience using clinical or documentation platforms
