Key Accountabilities 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the operation’s L&TD plan based on well-defined local learning needs and HSH global learning strategy. Assist to localise global framework to meet the operation’s needs
  • Responsible for the management and facilitation of the orientation programme and ensure completion of global and local compliance programmes
  • Develop and facilitate training, with an emphasis on delivering guest and culturally driven initiatives which are aligned to the HSH Core Principles and the Peninsula Service Principles
  • Drive a robust departmental training culture to ensure employees are competent in their roles, through developing departmental trainers and holding regular departmental trainers’ meetings
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives such as cross training and exposure, Emerging Managers Programme, Management Trainee Programmes, or any external training
  • Support the talent development programmes to prepare talents for success in local and global opportunities, through coordinating talent engagement activities and training
  • Develop a scheduled training calendar and communicate with the Assistant Director of Learning and Talent Development and Department Heads to ensure a strong learning culture

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Talent Development 
  • Strong organisation and planning skills with ability to collaborate across department
  • Clear communication and relationship building skills
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese and able to conduct training in both languages
