  • EFFECTIVE TEACHER TRAINING CERTIFICATE/ Course found here


 


Job Description:



Currituck County Schools is seeking reliable and dedicated substitute teachers to join our team. As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, following lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, and managing classroom behavior. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic experiences.


 


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure all students are engaged in classroom activities.

  • Maintain classroom discipline and a safe learning environment.

  • Provide students with appropriate feedback and support.

  • Assist with administrative tasks, including attendance and reporting student progress.

  • Communicate with the school staff and administration regarding any issues or concerns.


 


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred, but not required).

  • Previous teaching or childcare experience is a plus.

  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.
