Job Description

Description

Assists the residents with daily living and care activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, ambulating, and toileting in accordance with the established standards and procedures. Provides maintenance and restorative care services to the residents as scheduled such as special hygiene, repositioning, toileting, and equipment servicing such as catheters and wheelchairs. Maintains related daily care and documents on each resident assigned. 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must complete the Nurse Aide Course and pass testing requirements to become a CNA within 4 months from hire.
  • Must be 16 years of age
  • Passion for helping others
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to complete required in-service training requirements

Summary

Shift: 2nd or 3rd Shift

Status: Full-Time (60-80 hours per pay period), Part-Time (20-59 hours per pay period), or PRN (<16 hours per pay period)

If you have the desire to become a CNA, Stonehill Communities can help you! Stonehill has the ability to hire individuals to start working and be paid as a CNA while completing their certification. Stonehill offers their own CNA classes, and will pay for the Iowa CNA State Testing. Stonehill offers 4 classes a year. The only requirement is to obtain your CNA certification within 4 months from hire.

This position will be scheduled in 8-hour or 12-hour shifts. The 8-hour shifts are scheduled every other weekend and every other holiday. The 12-hr shifts are scheduled every third weekend and every other holiday. Holiday pay is at a rate of double time employee's base pay rate.
