Job title: HR Manager
Location: Lancaster, UK.  Office Based (hybrid considered)
Salary: Dependent on experience 
Terms:  Full or part-time position (minimum 0.6 FTE), Contractor considered.

Summary

We are seeking a confident and experienced HR Manager with broad HR expertise to support managers and employees across all Yordas global entities. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, responsible for delivering a high-quality, expert HR service while shaping a positive workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring best practice across all areas of HR.

This position would suit an individual who adopts a practical, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing a broad spectrum of HR matters, from routine queries to complex employee relations cases.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor on people-related matters, including performance, wellbeing, and strategic HR decisions
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and internal HR policies and processes
  • Draft and maintain clear, practical policies and procedures that are fully compliant and easy to understand
  • Help shape and embed consistent, scalable HR processes as the business evolves
  • Lead recruitment strategy and provide guidance on best practice
  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives and organisational strategies
  • Prepare HR data, insights, and updates to inform planning and decision-making
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including managing visa sponsorship requirements
  • Promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture

Profile and Qualifications

  • Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law; knowledge of employment law in other jurisdictions (e.g. Germany, Turkey, Canada, Japan, Bulgaria, and Ukraine) is advantageous
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification minimum or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships across all stakeholder levels, effectively navigating both straightforward and complex needs
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Payroll, Training, and Recruitment teams to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Empathetic and approachable manner
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Good understanding of HR systems, including ATS (experience with SAP and Pinpoint is advantageous)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Fluent in English (essential for documentation and stakeholder communication)
  • Additional European languages are highly desirable, particularly German, Turkish, or Japanese
